Minecraft Username: Emau Brief Description: I have been getting extra/random Netherstars without me voting. I will be playing and all of a sudden, I'll get a Netherstar. Instructions: Unknown. How many times did you recreate this bug?: I have personally witnessed it up to 3 times a day (twice) and once a day (about 3 times). I do not know how to recreate. Result: Extra Netherstars in my inventory. Expected Result: Max of 6 stars per day, one for each vote. And no stars given when not voting. Evidence: http://imgur.com/a/MlUQP I noticed this ?bug? 3 or 4 weeks ago. At first I thought it was just an *extremely* delayed response to my voting. Then, a few times later it happened 3 times in the matter of a few hours. I didn't do anything at the time, because I wasn't sure that it really happened. (Maybe I forgot they were in my inventory for example). But now I am sure it was this issue. One time, when it happened, I know I had received all my stars for the day and knew I shouldn't have gotten any more for at least 6 more hours. When it happened I contacted a mod (kuke I believe), and asked if it was a known bug or some other explanation. He gave the usual possible explanations: Someone else voting under my name, maybe I forgot, voting delay, etc. I agreed that if it happened again, I would report it. (That was a week or so ago.) Today while I was sorting some food, The star appeared. I took an immediate screenshot so you would see the server message. I knew I had not voted yet today, so I went to vote to make sure it wasn't one of the other possibilities mentioned above. I was able to vote successfully all 6 times, and received all 6 stars (strange by itself, but that is not an ecc issue). This made a total of 7 stars in a matter of minutes, which confirmed this was definitely not right. (screenshot 2) So I am bringing this to someone's attention. Not sure where the issue is, not really complaining, but I don;t feel right about it either. Sorry I don;t have more info to give.
If someone voted for you, you wouldn't be able to vote until midnight or 24 hours after. Emau After noticing the extra netherstar when did you vote?
For this example: Immediately after I got the star I went and voted. The two screenshots, (when I got the "extra star" and after my 6 votes) were within 5 minutes. All 6 sites registered a 'good vote'. No "you have already voted".
Yes. As seen in the second screenshot, there are 7 Netherstars. Since I could have voted only 6 times, that means the 7th came from...??? Hence this thread; so I can have a clear conscious. It doesn't happen everyday (maybe once a week, and I play everyday at least 5 hours). I usually only get one star but I think I got 3 on one or two occasions. I have no idea the cause. I cannot recreate it. I don;t know if this is a voting site issue, an ECC issue, or other? At first I didn't know if it was an actual issue. But after yesterday, I cannot think of a valid way the 7th star appeared.
