Hi all! I'm looking for people near mayor or higher who are interested in building more modern towns to help expand the Ecobahn! It's a 6 block wide network of roads that are the ECC version of the Interstate in the U.S. or the Autobahn in Germany! I started the Ecobahn in my two towns, Strauchstadt and Bertigstadt. I only have one segment of two routes built and am looking for members to start town claims in the vicinity of my two towns in Rising to make interconnected cities. Nobody uses horses, so I thought a really large, uninterrupted road network would make them more fun to have! The roads aren't built with valuable materials outside of protected zones, just stone slabs and other extremely common materials. See pics below! Getting it near SuburbCity (8500-8700 x, -900--1100 z) might be a bit hard given that it's over 5,000 blocks away, but I would love to have the EcoBahn run through my city.
True, though it'll take a lot of time before any section of the Ecobahn comes close to there. The towns are approximately 12,000 blocks away. Still, I don't think the Ecobahn should be restricted to exclusively active towns, but to those with owners who are willing to use this system.
Ok thank you for that, and if it is ok with you and I can find a long coast line in rising, I may be open to having it in my town when I get mayor if you are still wanting to expand it. (also, how wide is it?)
lol, my trade ad in the first pic, I would love to have this come to MapleVille. But if its too long of a way from the nearest Ecobahn thing I don't want to have too much trouble.
I'm amazed and excited with all the attention this got all of a sudden! Everyone's towns are quite a ways from mine, X= 13612, Z=-3252 are the cords to downtown Bertigstadt in Rising. @SuburbSomeone How far is Lancaster from Bertigstadt? If other people interested in the idea are close enough together, we can build individual routes and piece together the system! We could also do a little team work, I could never build routes 8k blocks or more long and still have a life haha. @legotom001 The standard width is 3 blocks in either direction with a single stone block divider on the segments without medians, but it can be widened in higher traffic areas if it's needed. We'd probably want to find out from staff if routes and bridges themselves could be protected to keep them from being griefed. Stone slabs r only so valuable but it would be a big waste to build such a system and have it be griefed.
I believe around 14,000 blocks due south. And I'm afraid they can't- but we can always hope that this can get enough use so that anyone who does grief will have their grief corrected soon enough. Also, there is a part of the Hobo Road System near Lancaster also.
I am willing to donate both materials and building time to help with this project. Just let me know the coords where roadway needs built and when!
