Andrewkm, I like your idea of removing a large part of the exp source to get prices to rise. You mentioned removing exp from mobs, which i don't think is the problem, the problem is that people are able to afk at mob spawners and then popback and get tons of exp. Back in the old days, the mining world had pvp and it was unsafe to afk their. i suggest that another mining world is made for pvp, and mobs.(with a rank requirement) however not the current mining world as the point of removing pvp was to keep the main-world less destroyed. Please post comments below Thanks, minecraft4Digger
So another mining world that is PVP enabled, has mobs, and requires a special rank.? Do you mean the nether?
So we would remove mobs from current mining world, maybe rename it to the wild like they use to call it when you warped in main world from spawn, then basically make the mining world PVP like it use to be, but require say a 20k rank.... I could possibly go for this idea. Could at least deflate the exp market for a while.
I mean Harry is right though. I was thinking basically once enough people get the new mining world rank it would be just as bad as it is now. Maybe we can make it that if you are afk in mining world your pvp becomes enabled so you can be killed. With fair warning of course.
you should though from at-least one world. also i did post this while you were deciding how to fix the market. during that time you did say that was an option.
its already controlled pretty well in my opinion, considering that mob spawners only work in the mining world, And cannot be protected by locks or other means. Like you'd be able to in the main world if you had a spawner in your town. i agree on the point of AFK farming shouldn't be allowed, but since theres no auto-disconnect time from inactivity, it'd be hard to control afk farmers. I personally enjoy giving mobs a taste of my blade rather then using fully automatic methods lol. The fact that randomly spawned mobs like cows, pigs, and other livestock is barely existent in the mining world. I Fell removing Exp from mobs would be a really bad move for the server, We already have pistons & hoppers disabled, if mobs don't drop exp anymore then all you have left is Exp from ores. And it'd make the price sky rocket on Exp though, but remember that for new players who join the server its just adding another level of difficulty if a pumpkin axe or max pick costs $50k ecd. as per the rest of the server's so called "economic" pricing, i'll keep my opinion to myself since 2 prior threads about it just brought trolls lol.
