Welcome to the starter guide to ECC this guide will walk you step by step through every thing basic to advanced you could possibly need to know about EcoCityCraft. Lets get started. First you will want to go to the link labeled "ECC wiki" and fresh yourself up on our rules So you have just stumbled across our server and are wondering how to get started. The first and most important step to be able to do anything important on EcoCityCraft is to register yourself in the forum by making a forum account with your mc username. - making a forum account allows you to do things like apply for ranks, town features, buy donation features and so much More! Once you have registered your forum account successfully you'll want to log back into the server. - if you have not yet saved the server into your mc multiplayer server list you'll want to go to add a server in your mc multiplayer connection options and add the following server Mc.ecocitycraft.com From now on anytime you want to log in all you need to do is click on the server and log in! Alright so you have a forum account and have the server saved in your multiplayer list, lets log in. Click the server icon and click play, it should now say loading wolrd or downloading. If you have done this correctly you should find yourself standing in the large EcoCityCraft Spawn! Welcome new builder to our server! A large and grand adventure awaits you! Alright so I'm sure you are standing around wondering... well were exactly do I go from here... I'm logged in and I have no money no tools and no home Well you're in luck because the first thing you are going to want to do is type in /Kit starter, this will give you the basic tools and food to get your first day on the server off to a kick start. Now you have some tools, now we need to get you some money! $$$$ Let's do /vote next! This command will open up a list of 3 Voting site links (Assuming the voting sites havn't changed by the time you are reading this).. Start by opening up these links to the corresponding voting pages. You will now want to solve what are called the Security Captchas it will tell you what to do so don't worry. Once this is done type in your mc username that is linked to the Server. Then click vote, preety simple right ? Now you will want to check your inventory on the server, you should see what is called a Netherstar in your inventory; With this I will teach you how to sell it and make some money! First find the GIANT portal with a huge sign over it called Market (or ask a player to show you were it is) this will lead you to a huge row full of coloured areas in these areas are player owned shops that buy your NehterStars for 500+ Ecodollars (Our in game currency that makes the world go round). You will want to walk up to a shop and find a sign that says "Buying Netherstars" or "Sell your nstars" under it should be a sign labeled like this [Trade] 1 Netherstar: 1234 $500:100000 (a rough example) Right click this sign and you should see in the chat $500 has been added to your account. Wow look at that! you just made 1500 if you sold all 3!!!!! So now not only do you have tools and food but you also have $1500!!!! wow!! Alright so, you have money... food.. and tools, but no place to live! This is where our various chat channels come in handy. Now you are going to want to type in /ch trade or /ch tr for short, and ask "Does anyone have a plot I can buy for $1000" Somone should get to you soon and tell you in a private message or "pm" From username: I can sell you a 10x10 Plot for $1000 Username has requested a tp type /tpaccept to accept this tp request once you type in /tpaccept within 30 seconds. You will be instantly teleported to the player wishing to sell you a plot. They will show you around there town and all the features the town has to offer and eventually bring you to an empty 10x10 piece of land. They will then offer you this piece of land for the $1000 in wich you will need to type /Pay username 1000 This will then send that user your $1000!! and then that person will add you to the town. NOW HOLD UP DONT MOVE!!!!! the first thing you are going to want to do when they have added you to there town is type /sethome. This command makes it so anytime you type /home you will appear standing right back were you are right now!!! WOW! so lets take some of that wood in your inventory and make a workbench, these are made by turning logs into planks, this is done by placing the log in the 2x2 window in your inventory hud. Then you will want to place down your workbench and make a chest, This is done by surrounding all the outside boxes of the workbench with planks, this has made you a chest. First thing you are going to do is place this chest in your plot and type /lock then right click the chest. Now the only person who can open this chest is you!! So... now you have a home.. $500, some tools, some food. So... were do we go next. well you are going to want to type /spawn, this is going to bring you right back to were this entire adventure began. Now you are going to want to look for the GIANT portal labeled "Mining" then walk on through. So now we find ourselves standing in a HUGE world were users come to mine..fish.. and other fun things that make money and gather materials. The first thing you are going to want to do is walk about 50 blocks out of this area, This area is protected as the Mining Spawn. I'm sure by now you have found other players wandering around, maybe a farm that says to pm a moderator if you need food, well if you need food make sure to type /ch g and then type /who. You will now see every single person that is currently on the server, you will want to scroll down until you hit the section of people called "Moderator" or "Admin" you will then want to type /pm therename "hey im in mining spawn can I have some food" they will then teleport to you and offer you some food!! Now then, since we have tools and are all freshly stocked up on food lets go mining! First lets find a hill that seems nice. now.. hmm.. wait a second.. I have sticks.. I have logs.. I dont have a pick. The first thing you want to do is open your inventory and make some planks and sticks. Place the logs in the inventory and it should show you some planks, make some planks by clicking the image of the planks. Then you will want to place a plank above a plank in this hud. This should make some sticks!! Now you will want to place 3 planks above these 2 sticks aligned like so Plank Plank Plank Stick Stick WOW you just made your very first pickaxe! Now you should notice in your inventory you also have some coal. Why not align it like this! Coal Stick Holy cow! we just made some torches Now we can start mining safely, lets dig around until we find some stone, youll want to pick up 3 stone and then repeat the pickaxe making process but this time instead of using planks lets use stone. This has made you a cobblestone pickaxe, you can then repeat this process as you find iron and diamond! Once you have your stone pickaxe though you will want to make an Axe made like so Stone Stone Stone Stick *cobblestone* Stick Now you have a stone axe, so now that you have an axe lets go chop down some trees and get more wood and planks. once you think you have a decent amount of wood and planks type /home. Now you are back in your plot. So lets start making a home! first go to your Workbench and make a door like so Plank Plank Plank Plank Plank Plank This will make you some doors. These will be used and /lock so that only you have access to your home. So since I'm sure everyone has there own ideal home I'll let you make yourself a home and place your doors and lock them. *Tip* Place Cobblestone around the workbench like you did to make a chest this will make you a furnace. Place coal in the bottom portion of the furnace to act as a heat source, Then you can place things like cobble in it to make stone, Iron in it to cook it into sellable ingots (gold aswell) and you can also cook sand to make glass for windows!!!! Now that you have a home .. your doors are locked, and you are happy with your design, sell any ores that you have cooked in the furnaces wich I hope you have used /lock on if not TSK TSK havn't I taught you anything DAY 1 IS COMPLETE!!! Now the rest of your adventure is up to you, More guides such as mining and farming will be added soon.
