[Error] The limit on characters in signatures is 0 apparently and more

I'm unable to put words in my signature, even just putting in the letter 'a' will cause an error message to appear saying that my signature is 1 character too long. Images work (As you can see my current signature has a very high-tech next-gen gif).
I have forum gold if that matters.

 

From my experiences in using xenforo, the error is most likely in the permissions.
