I don't like how we are going to be forced to go to spawn for enchanting.. I built my entire town with the exact reason to avoid spawn / spawn shops if I never went to spawn again I would be happy leave enchanting / allow it in towns or something
the signs also take away all the luck / fun of enchanting. its kinda like lotto because u never know what your gonna get
Warping to spawn to enchant will be annoying for those with laggy computers. Even with Optifine... Hmm... maybe add some kind of enchantment sign creation feature to extcreations+? Maybe add extcreations++?
I also do not like being forced to go into spawn to enchant. Even with Optifine and a decent computer, it's extremely laggy. As well, although minor, a lot of people do not have /warp or /shop, so it's not necessarily as quick as people make it out to be. I'm all for applying to have an [Enchant] sign placed in a town, like heal signs. However, I also do miss the randomization of it.. But Andrew has stated clearly he will not change the new system for EXP. :/
I'd suggest using whatever system they have for /travel and /shop. All you would have to do is type /enchant, and have the menu come up with the enchants and their exp cost. That would look nice, and it would allow for people to avoid spawn if they so choose.

The only problem with it being easier to enchant is that it's easier to enchant. The new system most likely would kill the market -_-. Maybe we'll go back once Mojang reverts some of the changes...
What's wrong with easier to enchant? So people who have a horde of exp and trying to control market will lose out.. Everyone else would gain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The exp is already in the market, and won't go out of the market unless we change the way exp is used. It's not as simple as reducing mining world resets.

Why would we put a shop-thing, outside of spawn? Spawn is THE central location for server places. Like shops and such. Also, in the unlikely event that we need to change a price on an enchant, we would have to edit each sign in each town and update their prices. It's a logistic mess. I say this suggestion has no chance of succeeding because of the logistic problems with this.
