Not sure if bug, but i feel it should be reported Minecraft Username: @y0landi Brief Description: I had just bought an elytra and went to the end to test it out, i flew a bit, making my way over to the void. I jumped off and flew underneath spawn. (I know that the end void doesnt kill you unless you leave the game and come back, in which case you die on spawning in) I was falling and wanted to make sure my items were safe, so I placed my rented eff7 into my portable enderchest (/eec) and then proceded to remove my elytra, but when I removed my elytra, i was killed instantly only to watch the $270,000 item fall into the void below. Instructions: Go into the end, fly into the void with an elytra equipped, remove elytra. How many times did you recreate this bug?: Once, but once was plenty Result: Instant Death Expected Result: Casual invincible falling into the void Evidence: Sadly I have no video or photo evidence, as to recreate this bug it would cost another $270,000.
If someone has exact reproduction steps for this please let me know and I will look into it. @Server Admin please generate an Elytra and see if you can reproduce this on one of your normal alt accounts with end access.
Low Key I saw @JamieSinn say he was unable to recreate, so I got a loan from @BuildsByGideon to buy a elytra from @swilling236 just to use do this video. (I also have a video of doing all 3) If need I'll recreate it as many time as needed. It just takes time to make the money to buy and elytra.
Although you have been refunded, were you really willing to waste your time just to make money for simply incinerating your elytras?
To a point yes, I wouldn't spend 24hours making money for something if it pointless, but I would attempt a few more times... Has anyone else had this problem? Or does anyone know why this happened or how it can be prevented?
You died because you took the elytra off, its just like in the over world if you take off the elytra you fall to your death. I believe that the game is thinking that you avoiding the non-death with the VoidWalker. Something has happened to me like this in SG but I didn't take off the elytra, it glitch kills you if you are going to fast and land on the ground. Elytra's are complicated, so it would just be best if you avoid flying down under the spawn point in the End. I don't know If I am entirely correct, but that is my insight on this.
