**Jus a thought** (I don't think this has any spoilers) So I watched The Purge yesterday which is a movie about a futuristic America. Once a year for 12 hours there are no laws. Murder is allowed which gives people a way to vent their anger. But it also boosts the economy because people (mostly rich people) buy security systems and weapons in preparation for the purge. Now let me get to my point. I, along with kutless228, had this thought of an ecc purge. I know this will probably not happen but its still a thought. What if there was an annual ecc purge or possibly monthly. A night where for an allotted time pvp was enabled across the world and donations disabled. (ones such as fly, water/lava plus, etc.) This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen but think of what this would create. (other than chaos) So in preparation for this purge people would buy protection iv armor or max enchanted swords. Possibly, to make it more realistic, people would maybe be kicked when they died during the purge. Or maybe we could have a purge world? What do you guys think? I am open for ridicule because this is jus a thought and not a suggestion. Reply what you think or maybe some of your ideas!
Seems like a fun idea, but personally if this were to happen, I wouldn't log on at all until it was over.
Interesting idea, however I don't think many people would parrticipate unless they weren't notified before hand. Then we would have epic chaos and it would be awesome!
Maybe a town wide purge would be more likely to happen. Like if I created a town and had my own purges.
Oh yea. Darn. Also if it was server wide for a few hours only the brave would work/farm throughout the purge. Giving the courageous the ability to make more money while others aren't.
Maybe of it was done for a day and then afterward there was a giant rollback. Just grief, destroy and total war for a day
If this would happen...I would make my army and grief/attack everything. Will take the controll over Ecc,
People would just log off, unless of course...you disabled protected areas...Bodyguards galore! But other then that, probably ain't happening...sound like an interesting movie though. I'd tell all my residents "Break one block and your outa this town."
as someone that fervently dislikes PVP, this would mean I would be unable to play during the event. I have never enjoyed games that force PVP onto players. Having specific zones where it is acceptable or encouraged is perfect. But forcing it on the unwilling doesn't sound like a great idea to me. unless.... that roll back idea was implemented. And respawn would allow you to keep your equipped items to get back into combat. If there were ZERO repercussions it might be a fun idea to explore (for those that like PVP at least). On another note the movie looked interesting but it looks like too much of it took place in the house. I wanna see all the other stuff that is going on outside the protected walls.
I like the idea, however If I were a new builder who just joined the server. I would collect stuff (not understanding the idea) then get killed and probably rage quit ECC forever.
I could be a bodyguard... for a price Realistically I don't see this happening, as ecc is meant to reflect on real life, which a gigantic purge and losing almost all your stuff from people running around killing each other isn't very realistic. Also, Moved General Discussion -> Suggestions.
