---Quick Links--- Link to thread: www.tinyurl.com/eccintmaps Rising Map: www.gigapan.com/gigapans/186196 Welcome to EcoCityCraft's Interactive World Maps! This thread has the three main maps that EcoCityCraft uses: Rising, Legacy, and the Mining Worlds. Below are the different maps and the different points in time that the maps were at, so as a community we can watch ourselves progress as we build and inhabit our towns across them. This project is maintained by Apex and with that is directly related with the Rising Town Directory, which can be found here with information on all the towns: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/rising-town-directory.130240/ As this project is massive there are most likely still towns missing or slightly out of place, which is normal. The maps will be updated constantly to find the errors or to add other cool features. With that being said, here are some things that we have planned for the future: Planned Features: -Having a warp icon in the corner of towns which have warps to them -Outlining nations -Having other icons for towns with different town features And of course a special thanks to all of the people that helped make this idea nearly 4 months ago become a reality. @idkhowtoplay for completing the rising directory, @wolfwoodnyo for getting the map data, and @Ellie27 for helping with logos. Also all of the wonderful testers that helped give their input. --- -=- Rising -=- --- Rising is updated every 6 months, starting with June 2015, and soon the features mentioned above will be implemented. This took an extremely long time to do because of all the research involved on how to do everything the most efficiently, so even though this one took three months to do, future maps will take nearly no time at all and be posted much more quickly. There is an annotated version and un-annotated version of each map. -The un-annotated version is just simply that; the map as it was at that time. -The annotated being highlighted regions, warp icons, town names, ect on the map. We have not currently gotten a map of legacy yet but this December will be the first yearly rotation, so stay tuned! --- -=- Mining World-=- --- The Mining World is updated every month, and is usually posted a day or two after it has been reset with the exception of this first. There is no link because of the smaller size of this map, so it is simply a spoiler here on the forums. Below is the image of the current Mining World, along with all the warps and where each one goes, biome included. The map has a visual of where the warps go, each warp being circled. I just spent a few minutes exploring the Rising map - Seeing the size of the world and the amount of player towns is just staggering. Nation outlines ftw!
Some were not added due to mistyped coordinates. This town, for example, needed its coordinated re checked before putting it on the map. one was positive, one negative. It's still a work in progress XD
I don't see my town anywhere? T_T idk if it's because it's not on the map or I'm just not looking hard enough. Town I'm talking about is Sky_Isles. It is (was) a water town, so I thought it would be easy to spot it. Also, it might be useful to specify which way is x and which is z, as I was using x as the vertical axis and z as the horizontal.... but idk if this is how you intended it. Edit: second glance I can't find my second town, Crystal_Spire, either. Both of my towns are in the directory....
Positive X coordinates go towards the right while positive z coordinates goes towards the bottom. It's a bit confusing.
Ummm.... might want to specify that in the main post? I pretty much did a regular graph in my head, where both positives are in the top right and both negatives are in the bottom left XD
Minecraft mapping is so weird, I agree ._. Ideally North should be positive Z and East positive X. Silly Mojang :/
