EcoCityCraft EULA Compliance information. Q: Will all features we previously purchased still be in our accounts? A: Yes. All features you purchased will always be in your account. All players are now be able to purchase them using our soft-currency known as EcoDollars! Simply use the /buyfeature command in game for more information. Soft-currency (EcoDollars) will not be sold in our server store. Q: Mojang states all players must have a way to earn features that others have. How will we do that? A: As mentioned above, you can do so using the /buyfeature command in game! More information can be found on the EcoCityCraft Wiki. Q: Which features will you change or remove from the store completely? A: Absolutely all features which are not EULA compliant will be removed from our store. This means you will only be able to buy cosmetic features, global network boosters, as well as other awesome EULA compliant ideas we have in mind for the future. If you have any other questions feel free to discuss. If I catch something that needs to be answered I'll add it to this FAQ.
Andrew, are you worried about the player count? Sorry, just had to ask that. Maybe to make up for these changes, a new minigame can be released with money payouts and NO KITS.
If anything players will love the fact they no longer have to buy stuff for real money and instead get to use EcoDollars. Not worried at all.
Have you considered increasing farming and mining prices to make it easier to get the features for new players?
I'll def be taking all sorts of suggestions soon. Prices will stay 15k/usd confirmed. A global 70% OFF booster will be available. (Among others possibly) The global booster is a great EULA compliant way to continue funding our community and will definitely be used because players will want to buy features at 4.5k/USD during that time. I can already see the amount of people pooling together EcoDollars so someone can buy the booster because they want to make tons of feature purchases for ECD. It's a win/win. The person buying the booster will get paid from other players as a thank you, and then everyone gets cheaper features for a set amount of time. (We need to be creative like this so we can still generate some money to run the server).
Yup, while other servers are getting all minecraft doomsday mode, the ones who get creative will survive
What about Water and TP? There's a debate about them becoming free, and the people who bought them rewarded.
Would you be thinking of adding other cosmetic features into the server for extra income to keep the server alive?
Oh my word. I cannot describe the happiness that entered my heart when I read this. Here I'd thought this was all going to be doomsday pretty much, and you had this wonderful solution to it all the time. Thank you so much for relieving the worry in my heart, Andrew. Thank you. What he said. EDIT: PS: Sorry for not trusting you more Andrew. lol
We can look into suggestions soon once we finish up a few other projects regarding the EULA and adding more store features. This is priority #1, afterwards we will do mining/nether reset and voting rewards, release the end, and hit the suggestion forum to see what users want. Of course! Glad to hear that We'll stay up, no fear!
From what I've heard of boosters, the second one bought will 'wait' until the first one is up, then go effective.
In theory, if they stack, you'd have 50% of 50% which is 75%. Even if you keep buying the booster to stack, features would never be free - the limit would approach 100% but never hit it.
Once a global booster is bought, it is automatically disabled from the buycraft store. It is impossible to buy two at once. Perhaps we will do it this way, but I don't think so, we'll simply not allow another purchase until first one is done. We will never allow stacking.
www.ecocitycraft.com/wiki now has all applications and prices available for purchasing all our features for EcoDollars.
