I think at the end of the year andrew or the mods and supers should host a Ecocitycraft award ceremony awarding special titles to people such as "Most lucky in lotto" "least lucky" "Hardest worker" "Most progression in mcmmo" etc. I think this would be a great event to furthermore make ecocity a great minecraft server and would very much enjoy these ceremonys
It does sound fun, but being a party pooper here, it would probably create drama along the lines of “Why didn’t I win that.” Or “he cheated” ect. And I am not just talking, the exact same problem happened back when I was in elementary school. They had this award were all the teachers would select a student who they thought basically was the best student, and it just created problems. Parents complained students got upset they just removed it when I was in 5th grade. And I’m not just talking about young kids to we had 12, 13 year olds in 6th angry and complaining how they didn’t win.
On top of that, those who win would have major bragging rights and wouldn't shut up about it. I mean, I was the first to get the lucky lottery/enderpearl medals, I'm number 5 in post counts, and I'm like the 6th oldest user on the server who still plays actively.... I love bragging and tell people things like that every chance I get. But giving a whole bunch of users bragging rights for things like being called the "best at ___" by Andrewkm himself... They might not shut up about it. Ever. Read my post closely and you can tell that even I enjoy bragging a lot myself. If I didn't know any better I'd go on and on about other things as well. That just goes to show you that people will brag and brag if you give them the chance, which just makes everyone else feel inferior and upsets the community.
Yes but almost everyone one the server who has a good pick, or tool/sword or has alot of money or is tycoon, etc already brags alot and has bragging rights so the awards might just even out the playing field so that alot of these reasons for bragging arnt that special anymore and just become something for fun. Plus theres alot of awards that could be given out, for instance, "Least lucky in lotto", I'm not sure if people would go on and on about that because well it sucks :/
Tycoon isn't given out once. Everyone has a chance. As well... Giving people awards that tell them they are the worst at something only makes them feel even worse.
