(Banner will be back in the next issue!) Issue 1, 4th October 2016 New Beginnings... The Eco Express is the re-branding of the old EcoCity Times. I want to welcome you to the issue and thank you for taking the time to read it. Most of you know me, but if you don't my name is TaylorBros22 and I'll be the Editor In Chief of the The Eco Express. I will be aiming to do an issue every 2-4 weeks, depending on what is going on in the world of EcoCityCraft! We'll be reporting on the major news stories of EcoCityCraft and we'll be conducting exclusive interviews, holding giveaways, hosting competitions and giving you the chance to feature in the issue. There's lots to look forward to with The Eco Express. The only thing left to say now is... enjoy the issue! SquidHQ As we all now know, EcoCityCraft has decided that it is no longer viable to be EULA (End User Licence Agreement) compliant, and, as a result, there is a high possibility that the server will be blacklisted by Mojang. Blacklisted simply means that players won't be able to connect to the server anymore, until it becomes EULA Compliant. Don't go panicking though! You will still be able to connect through a new launcher known as SquidHQ, which allows users to connect to any server whatever their Mojang situation is. You can download and install the launcher from https://squidhq.com and you can view an official statement from JamieSinn here. October-December Staff Cycle Our newest Server Admin, Imaginex, announced on Saturday that the new Staff Cycle had begun, after the promotion of the three new staff members: Ladyvamptress, Mission001 and Riggs316. You should make sure you use the new application format and fill out the questions to the best of your ability if you want to become a staff member. Halloween Build Competition On the 1st October, ClarinetPhoenix (ECC's other Server Admin) announced that the Halloween Build Competition is under way. 1st Prize is a massive $500,000ECD and 5 Event Tokens (worth ~$72,000ECD)! If you want to apply for the competition then you should check out the rules here, and go apply here! Sponsorship & Writing for The Eco Express If you would like to sponsor the Eco Express, you should contact TaylorBros22 via Forum PM. A sponsorship can be a simple message at the bottom of the issue, a message at the top of the issue, a banner (must be made prior to the issue being published) or even a full article about your business! You can sponsor either as an individual or a business. The money gained from sponsorship's will be used in future competitions and giveaways. Unique and I are planning to make it grand , we got 30 people to agree that it should be a thing via forum poll. More details to come and talk to Unique about it since he is the host.

whats the point of this... Seems like your just reposting news from the "NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT AND SERVER INFORMATION" section
[mod edit] The point of this is to be an informative news letter. This edition was just a short of recap of important things, but as I mentioned in the first article, they'll be lots more- giveaways, competitions, interviews, user articles, so yeah that's the point of it. If you don't like it, I'm not going to force you to read it.
If you focus on interviews, user articles and even just talk about specific in-game events (good AND bad.... people like reading about drama js lol. Its how IRL news networks work.), then I would be much more inclined to actually read and keep up with this. I don't want to read about the EULA or the Halloween Build Comp or any of that.... that is what the Server Acouncements and Information thread is for. Many people have done player interviews and such but after 1 or 2 the all stop for some reason. If you can keep it up and going for a while and focus more on in-game events, then I think this will be a lot more popular.
Yeah, I'm planning a much better 2nd Issue! I'll be trying to get a lot of interviews, articles, competitions and giveaways.
