Hi guys. Just making this thread for some discussion. No suggestions or anything. As we all know, when the server restarts, EVERYONE spams. Well you see, you'd think by now that everyone knows, when the server restarts, there's no ending it. If anything, you should all be grateful it's restarting. Think of it this way. When the server restarts, all worlds save. Got to keep everyone's stuff the way it is supposed to be. Lag is often fixed if there is any. I know many times after a restart, the first 5 minutes can be a little laggy because everyone is logging back in, but after that, all lag is usually gone. So please, stop spamming before a restart. It's pointless and gets us, and the staff, no where.
Staff does have punishments for spammers before restarts, it is just hard to verify that they actually did it considering all the other spam from SGs ending and so forth.
Question to all staff: I remember being temp-banned for 30 minutes back then... because I went 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... before a restart. From what I have seen, If I were to do this in global, when there is no restart, I would only get a warning. This could just be what I have seen, and I am probably wrong, however, if I am correct, why are there different punishments based on when you commit the crime? Thanks, Dccciz
That is our punishment for all spamming before restarts. We feel that since we normally can't kick you before restart, and that we warn all users in global to not spam before the restart, that this 'time-out' is necessary.
