Just an idea as I posted in the main form to create a committee dedicated to setting prices in ECC. Mostly its just so we can get an opinion of many people instead of just one or tow. Not saying that wewin or kuk wont do a bad job but, it would be better with multiple people sharing their ideas. Also here are some posts below that share different ideas about how we should go about creating this committee if we can get it approved.
We the people shoud get a chance to decide how to change the prices. When the pumkins price was turned down to $1 per a lot of people were mad, and it should be fair to let people farm stuff that would get them money. It's just unfair that we dont get to choose. I think that we the people derserve this chance to be a part of the economy even more.

There is a lot of contribution that is going on about this and i think that all the mods should talk about changing the prices not just wewin. They should all take a vote aboout it, instead of just one person. If this is ganna go on the server is just ganna loose it's place in records on the voting websites. It's also ganna cause people to leave the server if this is a on going event. Just think if it would make it better for others. And if we do go through with this and go to voting on the prices builders should be alowed to vote too. That's just like being racist. And just because TYCOONS are a high rank shouldn't mean that they get the longest term (exept for Mod's I can get that) again, it is just like being racist. So I think Andrew should decide to do this or not. It's up to him.
I'll be forming an un-official committee sometime tomorrow morning, with the help of a few others. I don't think an "official" committee is necessarily the right path to go about because it'd denote some form for force being applied behind it, which i don't necessarily like. I also certainly don't like the idea of the prices being decided by the people. It never has been that way and it shouldn't be that way because the people will always have their own interests at heart instead of the greater good of the community. The un-official committee will merely represent the general opinion of its members and it'd give those in-charge of pricing an adequate idea of what the communities response would be to a change in pricing for something. It'd also help to bring up the pros and cons before a suggested price change occurs. Perhaps even a basic proboards forum will even be set up for it, sort of like a fan site for e.c.c
I actually do think this is a good idea as besides sorting out the prices and such it will be another way to voice your opinion and be more active on the server.
An unofficial committee of mods and players to "suggest" prices would be good. No direct voting/setting but just suggestions. Also some WARNING would be nice so that people can update trade signs, sell off what they have, mine/farm harder or more often leading up to a change, or hold onto items. Some people lost out when sudden price changes hit, and then other lost out when prices were set back. In all the confusion there was massive outcry I believe because of the suddenness. Some peoples shops were raided when prices doubled on items like obsidian and gold while others had signs buying items like pumpkins at $1.25 and now have lost out because of the sudden drop to $1.00 each. I personally had a sign buying stacks of pumpkins at $80 (1.25) for those who wanted to sell pumpkins to me at the discount instead of paying rent up front. To log back in to find prices at $1.00 was a surprise. The warning should be just 24-48 hours and posted on the forum for everyone to read and state the time changes will take effect, what the current price is, what it's being changed to. The rules section should be updated to state that no refunds etc will be given if you do not see the change post in the forum (This would be for those who complain they didn't log in over the weekend and/or didn't notice the change post and lost out. Too bad, log in more often). Just my opinion. RagMan
True but it shouldn't be unofficial. It should extend on what we have now; just with more people. Voting once a month on new prices and how to regulate the economy to make it fair for all and get the best farming to mining price per chunk ratio.
