Today Eben lost his spawnshop. He paid 1.5mil for it and did not make a renewal application because he was in hospital recovering from surgery. He had $1.2million worth of goods in the shop. Alll.... GONE. Emongolab made an app to get the spawnshop and was rejected with chance of andrew auctioning it off. Eben has been an active user of ECC for a long time now I would hate to see him leave us, which considering the situation, he would feel very much inclined to do so. I hope that everyone helps him I propose for everyone to not bid and try to get this thing back for him.
If eben needs any money, i have money i will give, i also have several big donators that will help out.
Indeed, I'll give what I can to help Andrew, from past experiences, you usually clear the shop before auctioning it, in this case, should it be auctioned, could you perhaps wait until after, incase eben, or those bidding for eben win the auction?
As much as I would like to see this happen, I know many ecc users who will take advantage of this situation if no one bids
tbh, its his fault. You get 4 weeks of renting the shop, if you dont post a renewal anytime within those 4 weeks then its his fault for forgetting. I know how expensive it is, and i know how hard top floor spawn shops are to get. Its just not that hard to put a renewal app 1-2 days before it expires. If i had money to spare I would help, but I have too many things I need to do in the near future.
Eben was posting before midnight, and he put his app in 2.5 hours too late. It wasn't because he was unable to, he simply forgot.
I know! I remember when top floor or mid floor expirations would bring in a dozen posts at 12:01. Is this a sign that the server is not what it was - a million+ ecodollar property just sitting there unclaimed?
It's not just that he didn't apply for the renewal but that the shop was cleared when he was standing infront of it....
I remember when this happened mid-summer with station 70. I think Tdogg120 won it, and sold it to random2580.
