Jamescool13: An easier system of finding town portals. To do this there are a series of ways. The first is to put each towns on floors depending on their starting letter. So for example there would be a floor for town beginning with the letter A. Or you could simply produce a map for the website, which maps out where the different town portals are, as this would be quicker then searching in game. Finally, you could create a command such as /portal [town name] and that will take you to where that towns portal is. : Reason: There are so many ECC town portals that it is very difficult to find the one that you are looking for. Okay, I like this idea but at the same time I worry that it could cause problems. Everytime a new town is added you would have to re-alphabatize the town portals. The idea of a map is much much better. Maybe posted on the ECC website... actually someone could make one. I think I may make one.
Back when we had the old portal rooms I went around and catalogued all of the portals, including noting which ones were disconnected and/or blocked off. I almost had all of them written down and then Andrew changed to the current setup..... I've thought about making a map as well but never got around to doing it.

it takes up so much time to get to 14th floor portals I mean what's the point of a portal now xD portals are meant for easy access from the spawn to your town, not for a long walk and a ladder ride just to get to the portal + over 9000
on the other hand it would take a while, but I suppose that a new portal room can be made if a new pvp world and survival games can be built.
I have a question about this, What about the towns that have top floor portals they are currently worth more because of this and you are removing their worth. I think the town portals are good as they are, if you need to go to a town know where it is or get a tp to it then go backward through the portal.
I agree with this but there needs to be a better way to find towns maybe like a command to search what floor /color a town is in?
A very simple spreadsheet updated after every portal is added could be maintained by a select few members. And to get all the portals we have currently on a spreadsheet a bit of teamwork with people contributing info on even just 3 portals would mean the spreadsheet could be done quickly.
Perhaps when one types in /rg info [region], it also tells them where the portal is (if that town has one), in the following format: [floor], [direction from the stairs] [row] [how many from the left/right] so that it is easier to locate each portal.
I do understand sometimes it is hard to find portals there should be more like a slice DIRECTORY command like we already have In game but there should be a map like RevereN was saying on the form so that way you can also look at it there
he said there's not a way to add me to 1 of the portals to /rg I in the portals because that was supposed to be for thE markets
