This plugin looks like it could be useful, it'd be a completely safe way to stake money or items on a duel, plus it would allow only those 2 participating to damage each other. I know i've already shown this to Andrew in the past and that he bookmarked it, but I'm just putting it out here in the public so everyone could put an opinion on it.
