Alright, so me being bored, and not having much to do ingame at the moment has pushed me to continue on to a section of the wiki or even re-write one. I am requestion that this section gets renamed to "Purchasing Donations". I am requesting this, as what I am going to be adding to the article will help if you yourself are going to purchase the donation, or if you are purchasing it from a user. Alright so the following is what is in the wiki section right now: Spoiler Trading EcoDollars For Donation Features EcoCityCraft allows for players to trade EcoDollars in exchange for other users donating for features on their behalf. This is used to gain donation features for users who may not be able to spend their own real life money on the server to get the features they want. Please note that this type of transaction is the ONLY type of transaction allowed on EcoCityCraft that involves real money, and all others are prohibited by the Server Rules. (Section VI, Clause V: "User-User EcoDollar-Real Money Transfers") These types of transfers can be risky, and involves trust on the end of the user paying EcoDollars for the feature. Please note that in case of Donation Scams (defined as: A user give another user EcoDollars to donate for them. The EcoDollar half of the transaction goes through, but the second user does not donate for the first, resulting in a donation scam.) EcoCityCraft administration will not refund you any scammed EcoDollars, nor will they grant you the donation feature anyway. They will only take action in banning offending users for scamming. Please note that in cases of donation scams, it will take 24-48 hours to know if a person has not gone through with their end of the deal, as all donation features are processed manually in those time frames. Please be patient in waiting for your feature to be delivered, before you start claiming it's a scam. EcoCityCraft does not encourage the use of these transactions due to the risk of scam involved with them. Whenever possible, you should donate for yourself to eliminate the risk involved, and to prevent the loss of your hard-earned EcoDollars. We have assembled a list of safety tips for buying donation features, should you wish to go that route: What to look for in Donation Feature Sellers Anything that sounds 'too good to be true' usually is. Refrain from buying donations at a price under what they usually seem to go for. Watch for trusted sellers. These people are the best options for buying donation features. Check and see how many [$] or medals the seller has. People with higher [$] or medals are more likely to go through with the trade. Look and see how long the seller has been a member on EcoCityCraft and what rank they are. Also check and see if that user has any complaints or ban appeals regarding scamming on the forums. We also have a Feedback Thread that users who have bought donations from others can use to leave feedback on their experience trading with that user. We encourage users who have had any form of EcoDollar-for-Donation Feature transaction to leave feedback in that thread for others. Be prepared An example of what a donation agreement should look like. Even if a seller appears to be trusted, users on both ends should take appropriate documentation of the transaction in the form of screenshots. Should problems arise with your transaction, the only way moderators can take action is if the following information/proof is provided: A statement of the donation feature involved in the trade, as well as the EcoDollar price attached, and both users agreeing to this statement. A screenshot of the EcoDollar payment, preferably with a statement from the receiving user confirming that they have received and acknowledged the payment. Any other discussion or agreements attached to the transaction can give us more information to work with in case of problems. It is usually a good idea to request the transaction ID of the payment to paypal for your records, and if other non-scam related issues come up with your donation feature. So What I am proposing is on adding two sections; Purchasing your own Donations, and Purchasing Donations from users with EcoDollars. The current purchasing donations with EcoDollars is great, and needs no editing, I will be adding the Purchasing your own donations right below. What I want to add; Spoiler Purchasing Your own Donations Donations are a very important part to our server, the provide the server with money that it needs to stay up and keep our users entertained. You can purchase your own donation feature by doing the following; I - When you wish to purchase a donation you are to read over our servers donation rules/features, aswell as our servers current donation promotions. There are so many features you may never know which to choose from. II - After having decided which of the many features you want you scroll to the town on the rules/features section. You see three drop down menu's; within these menu's are all the features that our server has to offer. You should click each menu, until you find the donation feature that you are willing to donate for, after you have found that feature that you want you press on it, and enter your ingame-name in the box that is below that specific menu. After having done so you press on Add To Cart. III - You will then be forwarded to a further Paypal screen asking to verify the payment, and then enter payment information. This information includes things such as; Paypal Account, Credit Card/other method of payments. IV - After having sent the payment you should receive a E-Mail from Paypal verifying your purchase, and sending you your transaction ID. After having received all the information you wait anywhere from 24-48 hours for andrewkm to process your donation feature. If after 48 hours your donation feature has not yet processed you are to Forum Pm him. This is still a rough draft, and I may edit it in the near future. I however feel having this included on the wiki may help some users aswell.
I will be taking a look at this in the coming days. I completely agree with you that there should be a part added on the wiki about purchasing your own donations. I am even pondering a new page because this page's title is "Trading EcoDollars for Donation Features" which really doesn't suit your add on. EDIT: Haha, completely missed the intro at the top about renaming the page. Decided to make a new page anyways since trading EcoDollars is still a big part of the game and there is a whole different set of procedures for it.
