Hi I own station 93 and i was selling a chest full of ebooks - when I went to check the chest and swap a couple of books I noticed that most of the books now are Power1 (12 in total), I asked for a MOD and tdogg pm'd me to ask what the problem with the donation chest was, he came and tried it and you can swap books over in the chest. A mod pbrass was also there and he explained to him/she on vent how it was done. Can this be looked into I have lost alot of books which I doubt I will get back, and I thought donation chest where safe. They are not it is so easy to swap things for better. THIS IS URGENT - well I think it is anyway. I also understand that this happened about a month ago as well. I think people should be warned if there are bugs with chests.
NBT Data still has this bug, tested it quite a bit on my local server. Works with things like enchanted books/tools And seems to work sometimes on renamed items, swapping one for another
It probably thinks that no item is coming out there is a warning thread and i think it said the staff team will be treating donation chests as public chests
Using this glitch is illegal if u get an investigator to check who toke the books take a screenshot and report it as there is no fix for it yet
Well the general advice has been don't use donation chests and if you must/do treat everything in them as if they were in public chest.
You guys are acting as if it was legal to take from them it isn't and if someone does you can report them
I am not, I am simply acting in the way I would, the fact is that if someone takes the items and gets banned, you still won't get the items back.
I think they might have to if its value is high enough. It is also abuse of a glitch which is a highly bannable offence and can cause a permanent ban so even if you don't get it back the person would face extreme punishments
Greetings, Rockboy is correct. Andrewkm has stated that he would ban people if he found out they were abusing this glitch AND he stated that you need to use donation chests at your own risk as you would not be getting the items back.
