i found a bug with donation chests and how to take items out of them. The item that you take out doesnt count as a real item because when you /sell hand on it it says it is air. I just wanted to report this incase there is something that is possible with this. (P.S) you can equip armour from this bug. Also, the item is both in your inventory and still in the chest. if you open the chest, the item disappears. P.M. me for more info. I didnt want to put how to do it on the forums.
But you can wear the armour and the armour symbols (above the health) still go up. So you can use someone elses gear in pvp or doing anything really. Also, tools do work you just cant collect the items from them.
coords are 2981 68 3174 (rising world) its the bottom chest. This is the same issue u dealt with before @Revanrose6 stealing from a possibly glitched locked chest
@little_turtle , it seems to me that this is just a visual glitch. If you're not keeping the items once you update your inventory or personal character, it's not a big issue. There is a bigger issue here though, being that half the chest is a donation chest locked by @surferkev and half is a private chest locked by @weatherryan. Please be patient, I have contacted @clou44 to investigate this further.
you can lock half of a chest? or am i just misunderstanding? Also remember if you want me to, i can show you the bug just as proof that its impossible to ACTUALLY take stuff.
It's really only a client-side glitch...your PC thinks the items are there, but when an inventory update happens the server tells the PC that there is no item, so it's an un-exploitable glitch. (As @SoftlyPsychotic already said) ...how is that possible...? @_@ Could it be that the dchest was placed on a chunk border and the lwc only applied to one half until its other half was locked, too?
I'm fairly certain that chunk borders have no effect on LWCs, unless there is a chunk error (which in this case, there is none). I was speaking to Revan about this, and dual-locked chests were an issue in the past, though she thought it had gone away. I cannot say anything for sure, which is why we need to wait for clou to investigate the matter further.
So what is happening with me and weatherryan? The whole subject changed in the middle of the investigation and i just want it to be over with. I want you to know that i am being framed. Can't you use investigator skills for cases like this?
I think it does not show who opened a chest, but who took which item from it. (If I understood that right; don't have investigator) Maybe I said it wrong, but couldn't it be possible that one half on the chunk border was locked and the other half didn'T load at that time due to any reason so the LWC plugin simply couldn't find the other half of the chest and so left it unlocked? (Don'T have tp++, thus I have no idea whether the chest actually is on a chunk border...)
I have looked into the issues and haven't found any bugs at all. The original bug is simply a client side visual glitch, it has no effect on gameplay. As for the second bug, being half a donation chest and half a private chest by two different people, I don't even see that. I see one double donation chest, another double private chest. Not sure where the confusion came from. Please reply if you have any other questions
I'm sorry I unlocked this b/c I wanted this to be a useable chest that was not glitched. When I unlocked it It became just surferkevs chest
