    Hi, I am Necket, and I was wondering before i sell most of my stuff to have enoguh money to get access to the Aether, do i need to install the Aether mod?

    No, You just need minecraft. It's not the actual mod, just a bunch of floating islands where you can build grief-free.

    yes and no, you cannot create a "town" like you would apply for, however you can build a city there and it will be safe from greif.

    The aether is primarily a "skyland" world for users to build freely.

    You do not need any client side modification at all :)

    You couldn't sell land in the Aether, it is just to build stuff to show off.
