Hey guys! As you may have heard, we've begun work on a new, 1000x1000, official events-oriented town. And, in response to popular demand, we will be including a 100x100 area in this town that'll be dedicated to an official PvP arena(s). The plan currently is to have an official server build-team managed by staff build the area, similar to what we did for main server spawn or the lobby. But before we get to that, we need to have some rough outline of what we'd be building, namely the number of arenas/their sizes. Here's a few ideas I've had so far: One large 100x100 arena. One large arena + several small ones (perhaps for private 1v1s) 4 large and different, 50x50 arenas. 2-3 large arenas + several small ones (perhaps for private 1v1s) But obviously these are just my ideas and I'd like to see what the community has to say on this as well. Is it possible to make it 1.8.9 PvP mechanics? I’m sure many would appreciate that if it were to be possible.
I voted for the one large plus smaller ones. I feel the same way as EraNow, if there are more than one large one, we could see only one or two being used, or all of them being used, spreading out the amount of people participating in each arena.
the reason for multiple arenas would be to allow for featureless and featurefull arenas to allow for yourfavorite style of combat fairness.
