In Game Name: IceFireXDWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: Discord ServerShort title for your suggestion: Ban songs that contain the N wordWhat are you suggesting: Ban songs from the music VC and rythm specifically that contain the N word. You're not allowed to say it in-game, or on the discord, so why should the music channel be any exception to the rules? Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: The N word has no acceptable use. It is a derogatory word no matter who says it, and it has always been this way. Again, you can't use the word anywhere else on in the ECC universe, so no exceptions should be granted.Other information: Plugin or custom addition: Does Rythm count as a plugin? One suggestion per form: I Understand.
Rhythm bot is not a plugin made by ecc. Rhythm bot Allows users to look up the name of a song on youtube and the first one that comes up is played. There is no way to ban songs on Rhythm bot, so to make this happen we would need to make our own rhythm bot.
-1. If you and those listening are uncomfortable with it you can !skip in the chat to switch the song, or just listen to your own music. This would be way too hard and also unnecessary for mods to enforce in my opinion.
If you're able to develop something that constantly monitors every single video/song suggested into the queue for such word(s), then perhaps this would even be possible. But it is frankly ridiculous to attempt to control the flow of songs, because... most people don't have an issue with those songs. And if they do? There's a magical button called "Disconnect". -1. As Tyler the Creator said, "How the fuck is cyberbullying really hahah just turn off the computer hahaha"
Ground rules of the music channel can be simply defined as "majority rules". If some kid keeps putting in song requests that nobody else in the channel wants, ask a moderator to handle them. If you object to music that most, if not everyone else, is fine with, then it's you with the problem. Nothing's stopping you from leaving the channel. I don't care for the content of music. If people like a song, they like it. And anyone with half a brain is fully aware that there's a difference between listening to explicit music and actually using those words elsewhere. Those who don't? They get banned anyways. We have no desire to enforce such a rule, nor do we intend to.
