1. All ranks have to be added manually and as far as I know there is no way to promote a player who is currently not online on Discord. Basically, we'd need to have a GA+ online at the same time as the requesting player. 2. From my point of view this appears to be a lot of work for a minor cosmetic feature that causes far too many issues (see point 1). Not everyone uses their actual MC name, so applications would have to include the Discord name. A simple Discord PM wouldn't suffice - I could easily message a GA and say "Hey, I'm [EcoLegend name here], could you please fix my rank?". We could also use forum PMs, ingame /mail or PMs and then agree on a time where both the player and the admin are online, but at this point this is becoming a far too complex process for an unnecessary feature.
This. Unless we started mandating a "use your mc name or kick" ruleset, which I can imagine no one wants, this is realistically just a fancy cosmetic with a shitton of extra work. Sorry, but 314 points it out very nicely.
