Minecraft Name: spocklin Suggestion: This December I would like to suggest that @andrewkm change his skin to santa for the holiday season. I would also like to suggest that @DrowningInPizza @GeorgiaMC @Imaginex @Caitlin_Crime and all of the other staff change their skins to elves for the holiday season. Reason: I would love to see all of the staff do this because of the month and holiday that we are in. I have been on here for several years now and have not seen this done yet and would like to see it happen this year. Any Other Information: I understand that some people may not celebrate christmas and maybe they could be given the opportunity to abstain from this but I would like to see everyone else be elves and andrew be santa. As a non-religious person I request that the server doesn't celebrate christmas, or at least call it x-mas because it's offensive to my beliefs.
Where's the server celebration for Muslim Holidays? What about Jewish Holidays? Hindu holidays? Buddhist Holidays? -1 this thread offends me and @ModEdit ;((((
@UnitedStates2002 and @ModEdit This was not about religion I am just simply saying that as a member for more than 3 years I have never seen this done before and I should remind you both that it is a suggestion and is not put in place and may never be put in place. Don't forget Sith holidays or Jedi holidays. (not to sound like I am trying to mock your post, I, in fact, agree with it.) Imho, it does not matter, its like saying "lets build a church/temple/other religious building and then say it is not about religion" it just does not work...
Christmas is not a holiday of one religion guys. It was a pagan holiday that was adopted by lots of other groups.
We're both joking around with you guys, lol. I have no problems celebrating holidays and moderators can change their skin if they wish (Don't see the need to make the suggestion about it, but that's another story ) Anyway, Christmas has evolved so much, that it's became a secular holiday despite it's religious origins. I think the comparison between Christmas and a Church is blowing it out of proportion given Church's are attended by people of that faith, where areas Christmas is celebrated by all people regardless of religion.
@kukelekuuk00 How about you go and get a history degree for starters please before you come back and say something like that. Many religions celebrate their own version of the holiday even the Jewish faith has their own celebration at this time of the year. Finally everyone needs to STOP BRINGING RELIGION INTO MY POST.

In what form or part did I say that I'm somehow "Speaking for everyone"? I'm just saying a fact, as I've seen many people, regardless of religion, celebrate Christmas. Honestly, people can celebrate Christmas as they wish, no need to dictate what THEY wear based on YOUR own set of beliefs. As said by the OP, it's completely optional for moderators to change their skins and they don't have to if they don't want to.
