Minecraft Username: tanger91 Brief Description: When someone is on VMR or SB they can't message people on Main. People on Main can't see what they wrote to people on VMR or SB but apparently the message displays to the PMd person on SB or VMR but it doesn't show to the person typing the pm. Instructions: On Main send a pm to a person on VMR or SB. On VMR and SB send a pm to the full username to someone on Main. How many times did you recreate this?: Many Result: Person on Main doesn't see their pm to the person on SB and VMR. Person on SB and VMR does see the message. Person on VMR and SB sends a pm to person on Main. Person on Main doesn't see the message and you don't see your own message being sent. Expected Result: Person on main should see their pms to person on SB and VMR and Person on SB and VMR should also see the pm. Person on VMR and SB should see their pms and the pms should be sent to the person on Main Evidence: I've tested it with HyruleanHero and Red_Pandaz_13
I in my infinite technological wisdom believe that there are some bad bugs regarding networking / communication between servers. If I try to PM someone on Main from MainNorth, I cannot see that my message sent. More importantly for me is that when I am on MainNorth, users cannot see my chat messages in-game on Main. This was tested across several chat channels. I can see all messages from Main when I'm on MainNorth, however.
Yeah, I can re-create. If you're on Main you do not see messages from players any of the other servers. If you're on one of the other servers you do see all the messages. Discord chat catches all the messages regardless. If you try to PM someone on Main it simply doesn't go through, if you try to PM someone from the Main server to another server it results in "player not found". All other servers seem to not have issues. MN -> VMR fine, SG -> MN fine, etc. If Main is involved there are issues. Andrew will need to take a look when he is able.
We've since had a maintenance and I believe this issue should be resolved. Please confirm @RealRichNixon @tanger91
