Planted crops will often "disappear" (more accurately will harvest themselves)

    My name is @Thorpian

    To replicate:
    1) Plant a large quantity of sugarcane or cocoa (may work for other crops as well)
    2) Wait, TP around it, maybe log on and log off...eventually some will "poof"
    3) If you then go to the poofed areas, the crops will be there as if harvested
    4) Cry

Hi there, I'm not entirely sure what can cause this bug, but oftentimes when I'm planting cocoa or sugarcane, I'll come back to find that a segment of my farm has simply vanished/been harvested by evil server gremlins. Sometimes this takes the strange form of EXACTLY a row of sugarcane. Othertimes, it's random spots on a cocoa wall. I'm not sure what's causing this problem, and can provide screenshots of it if needed, but I'm assuming it's common enough that others have noticed.

    EDIT: Nevermind, found work-around

    For Cocoa:
Log and Bean must be in same chunk

    For Sugarcane:
Water and Base block must be in same chunk

The problem with cocoa is that the wood it needs to exist is not loaded on a border. The problem with sugar cane, however, is the water bordering it. The chunk is loaded, water can't be found inside and the sugarcane is thus dropped. Try putting the water source and the plant in the same chunk.

After the great success of #BlameJamie and #BlamePi, I hereby present the already well-known #BlameMojang. (This new choice of blame seems to be a quite common one. ._.)
