Inspired by the fact that I am obsessed with trying weird foods, I want to know what weird and maybe creepy things you ECCers have eaten. I will start with my 3 weirdest and then you guys can post yours too. 1. Emperor Scorpion- Yes, I did eat a scorpion, but the stinger was removed and it was not alive. It was crunchy and it tasted like sand and rice. 2. Blood pudding- This is actually blood, but it is dried and there was rice mixed in. it had a really weird texture but it was surprisingly good and I would eat it again if I could. No it did not taste like iron. 3. BBQ Rattlesnake- This is something I had when I was in a saloon type restaurant in Palm Springs, CA. It was really good and the snake was amazing with a little BBQ sauce. It did in fact taste a little like chicken.
Hmmm... One time I ate an alligator.. And i eat squirrel sometimes. And i tasted a slight bit of raccoon aswell, but if you have ever eaten McDonalds, youve already tried these :3
LOL! Its true, if you have eaten a big mac, you have probably tried the following meats - Ostrich, Gopher, Bison, Cat (<- maybe..), Cow substitute biproduct, chicken bile extract, the large intestin of just-the-right size tortoise, and some other exotic meats i probably shouldnt mention.
Bananas mixed with mustard and vinegar. I highly don't recommend it. My friend once ate raw squid. It was boiled infront of him and he ate the ink sac. I would never do that, but then again I would if it was the last food on earth.
I went to a sushi restaurant, which I enjoy very much, for the third or so time. I wanted to try something new, so I tried Sea Urchin. It's that spiky looking bomb thing in the ocean . When the lady put my plate down, I noticed a yellowish glob that looked like a sauce, which in fact, was the urchin. It was the most raw, bitter, and slimy thing I have ever had. Just plain disgusting.
Alligator, Pigeon (Yes, Pigeon), Kangaroo, and anything you find in chocolate which is basically 30% bugs
I haven't had any "weird" or "gross" foods...that I know. Maybe I have and did not know it. Although, I did almost eat a baby crab, tinier than my pinky finger, because it was attached to my squid and oyster without being noticed during cooking... -shutters- Mostly, I have "weird" food combos. Cinnamon raisin bagels with cream cheese, "uncooked"/cold pepperoni, and peanut butter, for example. Nomnom. <3 Sometimes I add breaded chicken, too. (I eat other weird combos as well, yet I dislike most berries, coconut, cereals...)
I went to a Japanese restaurant and at the Sushi counter, I went and saw this thing. I said cool lets try, I ate it and spit it out. When I asked the woman at the Sushi counter what the heck it was, she said Octopus. I then went and cleansed my mouth with anti-octopus paste and have been shuddering ever since. Also when I was 4 years old, I was at my school's playground (it's under a roof, but still open), it was raining, and there was mud all around where there wasnt a roof, so I thought it was chocolate and ate it. Don't ask me how it tastes, I ain't telling. :|
