It would be nice to have a skill like this, you will get exp whenever you craft a food items like bread, pies, etc (not cane > sugar) and there would be a chance to get an extra food item, lets say: You craft 64 breads and get 1 extra bread at lower levels and something like 4-5 extra breads per stack at a decent level. This will rise raw food items a little, so farmers will get a little more money and would make farming more interesting, also would be more realistic, selling wheat at the same price as bread is a little sad, there sould be a little reward for crafting it into bread. I assume you are referring to mcMMO because you mention skills. In my opinion it's not a good idea to deviate from the official mcMMO plugin more than necessary. I can't speak for Minecraft server plugins because I haven't really worked with them yet, but merging code from different branches of a project can become messy. Creating a separate plugin would probably be better in the long term. However, I doubt this idea is something that should be focused on. Crafting bread can be done very quickly, but there isn't any real need to do it. Raising the sell price of bread would be the easiest way - and completely eliminate issues caused by separate plugins - although I can't say how this would affect farming profits.
