Recently, cooking pots were changed so that only people who donated for EXT-Creations+ are able to re-stock the fuel of the sign. Understandably some may be happy because of this[angry old people...], but because of this, no users will buy cooking-pots anymore and it has drastically reduced the reasoning to buy the donation feature. There is no money to be made in tossing people coal-blocks/coal to fill up the fuelsign of a pot, and no hope for the donation feature if it can't be sold to users because users can't use it. TL;DR: Make it so that all users can re-fuel a cooking pot, but EXTCreations+ still have to make it. Fixes economy. Formally, Your [Dear-Leader].
I believe as well that this reduces the power, and value of this donation feature as less people are willing to pay for the services that come with it. Put yourself in the position of a person who was getting this donation feature just to sell these to people, and now nobody is buying that would be a total waste of $100, rather than a steady income as this is a rare donation feature. Even though there is many features other cooking pots this is a large and important portion of it. Yes, you could sell the fuel for the cooking pots, but nobody would buy the cooking pots so selling the fuel to be useless. Overall There are 4 Results. 1. People will purchase the feature 2. They will simply ask a friend 3. They will use the fuel in their cooking pots and go to furnaces 4. People would go SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY and pay for fuel
Oh I did not know that this was changed... I don't have ExtCreations+ myself, but I do have Pyro+ which gives me the command '/fill lava'. When I got my cooking pots set up, I paid 500 to have the [Cook] sign put up. I then filled it myself to 1 million fuel with lava buckets and the '/fill lava' command. This way, I only had to pay the guy 500 to set it up, as opposed to the 5k or whatever he was charging to fill it with 1 million fuel. However, I do see the reasoning for this, as it allows the people who donated for ExtCreations+ to try to make some money off of the feature (OR it could be an attempt to get more people to buy it because honestly, most people would rather put that $30/150k towards something else more useful like ExtCmds/ExtCmds+) For my purposes, other than to have the ability to set up cooking pots I currently see no reason to get ExtCreations+ as I will probably not use the other features. And I would rather put that 150k towards Investigator or lotto (since I already have ExtCmds+ )
it is an inconvenience, but it does open up the ability for a extcommands+/pyro+ user to sell fuel-filling services. actually, it is dumb that only people with that combo of features can do it. what else on ECC requires two plus features to make an object work?
Yes, that is true, only people with extcreations+ and pyro+ can sell an exhaustible source of fuel to fill cooking pots, however you could use blaze rods if you would like to. Also, cooking pots are much more useful than any of extcreation's other features (doors, gates, bridges etc.) they can practically cook things instantly rather 100s of times quicker than furnaces that take 10 seconds to cook a single item.
I guess I have become accustomed to free instant smelting, because I did not even consider filling with fuel that I have to pay for. I probably would just not smelt anything.
I've actually never used cooking pots on ECC until yesterday. Furnaces always did the job just fine. But yesterday I got a cooking pot for my company, because it needed things to cook a lot faster. The guy came and set it up, and it had like 6k fuel in it. I stuck my sand in and was amazed. It started converting it to glass almost instantly. I had leave right after, but I was under the impression that I could re-fuel it myself. Since smelting is a core minecraft element, I may just have to go back to furnaces. Or use coal. Because every time in the past, my private coal supply has been able to easily smelt anything i need. But I agree, it should be changed back.
This really only makes me not want to get extcreations. It really gets me mad when these things happen. It makes me not want to support the server. This is why I quit ECC for a month, everything kept getting nerfed, and it made me not want to play anymore! I'm sure other people have this feeling. +1 Please make it back to normal!
Buying fuel from others to fill your cooking pots is cheaper than using coal. For example, I sell 1,000,000 fuel for 2k, instead of 125,000 coal which if you were lucky would only cost you $125,000.
Why would I ever need to smelt a million blocks? I bet in the entire time I've played minecraft, everywhere, Xbox, Singleplayer, and Multiplayer, I haven't even smelted 50,000 blocks.
I mine and ECC alone have done around 150,000 blocks, and this is not even my main source of money. I just prefer how all the money comes in 1 big burst. As I have done around 50,000 + in iron alone not to mention items such as netherrack, meat, and other oddball items you smelt.
I rarely go mining unless the mining world resets. I rarely play singleplayer on the computer. I don't smelt meat, I buy it, or my flame sword cooks it for me when i kill the pig/cow. And i rarely smelt smooth stone, I have a silk touch pickaxe. It gets it for me.
