    Brief Description:
having 2 [cook] signs on a cooking pot makes the cooking pot cook faster, for ex. the cooking pot in the middle cooks twice as fast as the other cooking pots.

    Instructions:
make a cooking pot like the ones on the left or right(of the picture above) and fill it with fuel then make a cooking pot like the one in the middle(of the picture above) and fill both signs with fuel get 10 stacks put 5 in each chest with as little time gap between. look at the speed that the cooking pot which 1 sign cooks the stuff needed smelting, compared to the the speed of cooking that the cooking pot with 2 signs has. How many times did you recreate this bug?: i did this twice at first with 1 stack in each cooking pot than with 5 stacks in each pot. each time the cooking pot with 2 signs finished almost in 1/2 the time that the other cooking pot took Result: the cooking pot with 2 signs cooked twice as fast
    Expected Result: not sure
    Evidence:
generaljoecool he tested it as well and got the same result

Yes, I can confirm that putting more signs make the pot cook faster, and it seems to uniformly (for the most part at least) take fuel from the signs. I am not sure if this is meant as a feature or a bug, which is why I asked minecraft to post a bug report.

Can I be told if this is allowed to use or if it counts as an exploit. I'd like to be able to start using it if it's allowed.

    Thanks,

Does this take twice as much fuel?

It uses the same amount of fuel as if it had only 1 cook sign. It's like you have one furnace and you need to smelt 64 things you can do that with 8 coal or you can use 2 furnaces with 4 coal in each(32 items in each with the 4 coal), with 2 furnaces it's twice as fast but uses the same amount of fuel.

So this works the same as having 2 cooking pots with separate chests? If so, this isn't a bug. But if it works differently, it is a bug.
