I strongly believe that a new game will bring both competitive game play, new users and new donation features to the server. Conquest; - 5 Nations. (Nation leaders will be person with best score in that nation) Teams should not be fixed to a user to avoid clicking) should be able to pick what team your on when you go in each time) - 3 Neutral trade cities. (large reward for capturing and controlling) These cities will be fought over constantly for money) -Nation; Each nation will have 3 villages, 2 farms, 2 watch towers, and a fortress. - Villages can be captured and controlled by an enemy force. (Medium reward for capturing but none for controlling) - Farms can be used to gather wheat or buy at signs for food and animals. ( Medium reward for capturing but none for controlling) -Watch towers will be used as a place for nation members to fall back and defend themselves if their getting attacked by enemies (not able capture, however you can camp rather easily) -Fortress; The fortress will be each nations fixed point on the map. a fortified castle with moats draw bridge and gate. peek holes and towers for archers. the fortress is also location to that nations shops and /spawn command. Each of the areas that you may capture there will have a flag in the middle, like a courtyard. you would run up next to it and the hard point would slowly capture. The point system will count on how many kills, captures and how long you have a claim in the capturing of a town or city. Currency should be given as rewards and for selling items to shops. Bounties would be a good way to get money as well. there should be a variety of shops in next fortress from food to weapons and armor and tools. Far as storage is concerned I think rooms should be up for rent. a place with say 2 d chests locked, a crafting table a bed and a torch. Like a personal chamber for each player to have in the fortress and the villages. Now considering donations are what keeps ecc moving I have thought up a list of features I think might break the creative ice. disabling items carried over to this world would broaden the variety. bridges and gate and that stuff we alrdy have. i would suggest some kits plugin and something for the hard point capture. there might be a plugin for the nations but i think if we got creative we may find away around that
I think this is more or less for a user-hosted competition, not for the server, anyways seems fun(ish)
One problem with a lot of plug-ins is it takes slower computers to deal with all of the plug-ins. I used to have about 40 FPS, now I get about 30 FPS, and I made sure not to download useless things.
plugins do not affect clientside performance, blocks, items, players, etc do. (more things to render = more lag) Signs are a big cause of clientside lag, also redstone.
Well, over the time I've played on ECC, I've slowly lost FPS. Might also be due to the fact that more worlds must be generated.
