I just got my computer back from staples business depot they did a diagnostics test and found nothing wrong but the audio jack, i plug it back in and not it's saying my windows may not be genuine(and it's not) and it says ask me later or activate now. I've had it like this for 8 months no problem even with updates but now with no new updates it's asking. Is there a way to get rid of this notification?
Did they reinstall Windows at all? I would give them a ring - because it should still be under warranty if it's only 8 months old. If your copy of Windows isn't activated then it won't update which can lead to security issues. Do you have a recovery disk? Sometimes they put the activation code on the disk or some part of the documentation. Hope you get it sorted.
