Felon Username: CaptainCheesy Complaint: Failure to pay money owed; scamming of goods Clause 2 - Scamming • A general definition of a scam in the context of EcoCityCraft is a transaction in which a user pays for goods or services from another user, and does not receive those goods/services in the agreed upon time frame. • Failing to uphold your end of the deal is scamming, and is punishable by a ban. Your continuance on the server may rely on you following through with your end of the deal, or refunding what you scammed, solely at the staff’s discretion. Evidence: The user CaptainCheesy created a company called CheeseCo, a company which profits by employing users to collect resources, then compensating them for their time. After collecting resources, the users drop the items into a chest locked by CaptainCheesy, who is then supposed to pay the users once he confirms the items have been added to the chest in person. CaptainCheesy has outright refused to pay me the money owed. Below is the evidence that the user refuses to pay me the money owed. Spoiler: Appendix 1 After checking his forum thread on 'debts' as the user suggested, I found the following in Appendix 2. Spoiler: Appendix 2 No where in the rules does it entail him not having to pay me, unless I resigned from the company, which I in fact, did not. I suspect that in an attempt to bury his misdoings, the user edited his rules shortly after my confrontation with CaptainCheesy Appendix 3 is evidence of CaptainCheesy recognising me as a member of the company prior to our conversation in Appendix 1. Spoiler: Appendix 3 Appendix 4 is a record of how much pay the user user was originally offering per stack of logs at the time I joined the company. Spoiler: Appendix 4 Finally, Appendix 5 is further proof that CaptainCheesy recognises me as a member of CheeseCo. I would also like to note that CaptainCheesy has never paid me for any of my work, and Appendix 5 implies at least 2 doublechest's full of wood. Spoiler: Appendix 5
Do not post in Ban Appeals/Complaints that have nothing to do with you. You can find the rules for this section here: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/rules-ban-appeals-complaint-forum-rules.21791/
Here is the most Updated Version of my Current Workers List (updated as of yesterday): Here is my Current Rules List: Here is his Problem: I find this Complaint a waste of time, as I do what I call, Company Wipes every Friday (or when I remove players who aren't working, as this frees up space for new employees.).
In fact it wasn't necessary, as he was breaking the rules. Do not moderate the staff team. As well, do not bump complaints/bans. We handle them when we have time. If I were online and in game to review the information, I would have done so already. Please wait patiently for a staff member to come along and take care of this. Do not post on Ban Appeals/Complaints that do not directly involve you. Consider this your warning.
Geez, I was just messing around. No harm purposely done, yah? And by the way, he did me a favor lavajok. When he tagged me, that set himself up for his demise. I'm constantly updating my Threads with New/ Updated Information, so that everyone knows what's going on. I've got a pretty decent setup, and so far, I've been labeled as the guy who gives almost anyone a Job because he's so generous. I don't scam people. What has it to offer me? Guilt? A ban? I don't need any of that on my record. Yeah, I apologize for the rush. Yeah, I didn't know if you were going to reply back here. I apologize. No harm intentionally done. It's all cool lavajok.
Alright, after reviewing all the materials provided and conversations on the forums, there is no clear cut agreement as to what your compensation should be. You told captaincheesy on Feb 8th that you have dropped off logs in a chest, in his town. According to forum records, the first sign of an agreement was entered on Feb 10th which recognizes you as a member. That means unless you can provide some sort of agreement that was made prior to Feb 8th, this complaint technically has no merit. If you can find screenshots of a previous agreement, please post a new complaint. On the other side, captaincheesy, I would caution you as to not paying someone for work performed regardless of you "recognizing" someone as a worker or not. If there is an agreement to do work for compentsation, the work was completed, and they don't collect payment until you have removed them from your post, you would be in violation of server rules. Please use extreme caution, as this has high potential to cause problems. It is my recommendation that you both come to some sort of amicable agreement in terms of compensation for work completed. Dismissed and locked.
