In the spirit of borrowing successful ideas from others, the City of Lancaster will soon have a small mall. Room for eight stores within a short walking distance from our portal, and in the geographic center of what is now a thriving city made up of seven adjacent towns with five different mayors and co-mayors, and 70-90 resident players. Contact @jmichael214 in-game, or post here, if you think you might be interested in renting a store here.
Just for example purposes I have reserved a spot after talking to JM ingame. I placed a sign to reserve my chosen spot after he told me to do so. A suggestion would be that all of the "plots" sell different items. For instance, I will be putting in a clay and glass store, which will include every color and type of glass and clay.
And I will do what I've already done, and sell flowers and landscaping materials, because they're the least profitable things to sell but it's nice to have them available. And I'll pick the location of my shop last, unless demand slows down. Three shops are reserved by @eyesee3, @gstoner3, and @liamkh.
OK, I'll figure out prices and rules when I'm on later tonight. Rent will be something large enough to make sure only someone who is serious rents one, but not big enough to take away a lot of profit from the store owner. Just enough to make sure that the store stays active. Like maybe I'll go see what it is at Sweden Mall and do half. And we may have some reasonable limits on height and number of signs. I'll figure it out later, but @Mission001 and @Kafas1, I'll get in touch if you're on.
OK, rules and prices are posted in the mall, and it's ready to go. Height limit is 6 blocks, shops are 14 x 9, and rent for $1000/week. @eyesee3, @gstoner3, @Ausalu and @liamkh, you may start building at whatever point your first week's rent is placed in the sign on the rent board. Look for a white glass board with rules on one side and rent signs on the other. @Mission001 and @Kafas1, contact me in-game whenever, it's open for business! Anyone else, there are still four locations open, two if M & K each take one.
Given the recent demise of the Sweden Mall, and because I'm more interested in building a small, successful market than making money, I just lowered the rent on shops to $1000 per month, not week.
Unfortunately, all the shops are already taken for December, including the extra one we invented due to demand. Sorry! http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/lancaster-mall-now-open.113835/
Yes, in fact I was just doing LWC removals tonight. I actually have medium sized plots opening up in main Lancaster. In addition to the big expensive ones in Eastcaster. Just grab me in-game whenever you'd like to see.
