Minecraft Name: Face_Kicker Suggestion: Focus the economy on social interaction. Add fun into the equation that is used to correct the economy. Hire a world class economist that can recognize social implications in economy changes. Listed enchantment effects! Luck of the sea? Treasure is disabled ! = ???????? -!!- Reason: Lack of people logged into server. Lack of social interaction. Lack of builders. I see too many Chiefs working together and not enough Indians. <<<<< Very obvious in lottery statistics! Any Other Information: Fishing or group activities instead of mining or solo activities. People help each other when it comes to fishing and are known to fish in groups. The same cannot be said about mining or mining world. SG is more of a solo thing. Paintball encourages teamwork/teams and or squads/clans and would be a nice replacement to SG. These are 2 obvious examples I have found by talking 2 people in ECC. Not looking forward to more ONE MAN HERO kits for SG ps. I lost all my stuff in mining world because of 2 crashes in a row and I'm really butthurt...
I like the paintball part but mining it's an individual activity as well as fishing. But actually I see social interacción in towns and nations, or in the global chat anyway i'm not aganist this sugestion. Looking forward to read your comments :3 Greetings!
I'm going to start my rant with the comment on survival games. The game is called "survival games" for a reason. There is one winner. 1. uno. Eventually people will turn on each other eventually or neither of them will get money, that's how the game works. Without the kits, the server wouldn't have as much money atm. -1 The server is a "hardcore" economy not a "friendly, and completely easy to do everything on, communistic society". Whether we like it or not, people grief, they scam, they lie, and they cheat. The great thing about ECC is that they give you a small(ish) set of rules that apply to nearly every situation, while still granting the users to come up with things to do. For an entire server to change their attitude you would need to start doing these yourself. All you've really suggested is that players should talk to each other more. -1. Also, the political correct term would be Native Americans. -1.
-1 I couldn't agree more. The comment about a "hardcore" economy really sends it home. We have a well established set of rules and the server has been running for longer then most. In my opinion this server is extraordinary in its friendly players and staff, other servers completely suck in that aspect it's basically just u on your own there. This server is well run and efficient. More then just a few of these players go out of there way to help no matter what rank you are and ask for nothing in return. In other words the server's environment is not the problem. I would suggest you hold personal events and advertise them in global? I don't feel that staff should use efforts to improve an already friendly and socal server like this one.
Although there does need to be more community interaction (or community in general), I do not think this suggestion is the way to do it. -1 There are better ways to get community interaction without completely changing the economics and [possibly] the genre.
This goes against the social structure of real life as well. People don't do things together anymore. This isn't the 1970's when you had hippies doing all kinds of things and every thing was fine and dandy peachy keen. Nowadays, you have to rise above and trust no one. That is just in the real world. This server isn't necessarily here to "make friends", but to become a multimillionaire mogul and be the richest person on ECC. Most of the people who are the richest don't do things in groups, but rather by themselves. You have to rise above the challenge and do things yourself because next thing you know, your partner is stabbing you in the back and taking all your money. -1
The problem with this is simply supply and demand. Fishing and "group" activities do not produce products that are needed by many players. Mining brings minerals such as diamonds, emeralds, and gold into the economy. The market would crash without these items, and as such should not change.
-1 Lack of people? I'm not sure when you play, but I see a couple hundred people online, at the same time, all the time. Lack of interaction? I, very frequently, have trouble keeping up with all the chat that scrolls across the screen while I am playing. Lack of builders? Once again, I disagree. These cute little guys and girls are begging for free stuff ALL.THE.TIME. (not all, but quite a few) At least you are honest why the suggestion exists. Instead of giving you some free stuff, I'll think about you tonight and cry for your loss.
