.Colonial Day 2014. Colonial Day is an annual holiday within the zodiac nation, that celebrates the signing of the articles of colonisation; the act which led to the founding of the nation. To coincide with this event, every year on the first week on March,a new president of the colonies is elected. This years president is decided by YOU! In preparation for the announcement of the election results this Sunday, and by order of the current president, a number of Leonian airships and hot air balloons have been re-purposed as civilian transports and stationed in the Caprica region, to ensure that all colonial citizens get the chance to enjoy the event. Presidential candidates are comprised of members of the Quorum of Twelve; the nations governing body. To be eligible for election, candidates must have held their current position as quorum delegate for at least 3 months prior to election.
