I understand that animals are rare, but what about chickens? They can normally spawn from their own drops (eggs if you may). Has that feature been disabled in the Rising server? If so, why? The same could be asked about cows and sheep (screw the pigs).
Sheep screw pigs? Which version of minecraft are you playing? Or is that a future Microsoft feature? Except for pets and horses, all mobs are disabled in Legacy and Rising. (And except for those rare rogue cats.)
Animals only spawn in the mining world - lag reasons. Not sure whether chicken spawning with eggs is enabled in mining...
I'm not sure what you mean by not paying, but here are the options. Get the donation feature: Ext Creations. Once per day you can use /kit mob which gives you eggs and milk among other mob drops. You can search the player market where other great players are selling the milk and eggs. You can be online right around a mining world reset and quickly run into the mining world gathering and collecting before the animals get butchered.
When I say not paying, I mean not having to get a donation status. The issue I see with the shops is their limited quantity. That can hinder someone from making stacks of food.
Yeah, it is usually more cost efficient to just purchase the food outright. For example: Station 38 (Red Row) sells cakes for $30 each. If you are looking to buy eggs/milk in bulk, just forum message me, and we can talk about price.
314 sells cakes along with a nice variety of other foodies for 25$ per cake and cheap rpices for other foodstuffs too, pm or mail him and you might be able to buy them in loads. His food selling signs are at the first floor of one of the buildings at the left corner of the portal entrance in the berlin district i think, if you find the portal it shouldn't be too hard to find.
Not 25$ per cake, but 7.5$ per cake. Towns5, lapislazuli row, coal area. Fourth portal from the right. Need to refill though. /kit mobs is my main source of eggs.
