Well I learned a really fun lesson dont use /clear because you lose everything in your inventory. I couldnt remember what the command was to empty a water bucket becuase I had quite a few and was going to empty them so I could stack them. Any poof everything gone 1. eff5 silktouch pick 2. eff5 silktouch shovel 3. eff5 pick with fortune 3 4. eff5 axe with silktouch 5. ores and other odds and ends. I am pretty new to this game so I had no idea that would happen. So to sum it all up don't hit /clear if you don't already know about it. I guess I learned an expensive lesson because I was told nothing can be done. I totally understand my not knowing something doesnt equal getting reimbursed. Just a heads up to those who dont know. No this is not a fundraiser.
Ya, also if you have a powertool, don't /pt clear, although people usually think it would clear all pt's, it issues the command /clear when activated. sorry for your loss
Thanks OJ......I knew the command had clear in it....its \fill clear not \clear pretty easy mistake to make. I have power tool but don't really know what its for. I am such a noob.
Why are /clear, /clearinventory and /ci available to extcomm owners at all? k, stops the inflation. But on the other hand... :/
I agree, only a few people actually use it and even then it's probably almost never used by them, however, I'm pretty certain it's only in the game for the removal of tools. As tough as it may be to swallow, this command helps the economy by clearing items like this.
I am sorry for your loss of items, however, the lesson you hopefully learned is to carefully read all the information about any features you spend hard earned money on.
Well thanks for all the support and helpful advice. I think after it happened yesterday I just needed to vent. Lessons learned the hard way are usually ones you don't forget. Bobbysix6 gave me a good deal on some tools so I am back in business. Anyway thanks again for the support now it's time to kick some butt and get my money back. Have a great night ECC.
