Can someone, preferably a mod/Andrew, please clarify what "anything goes" means in /ch vip. I get swearing is allowed in that channel, and, I believe, political discussion, but how far does it go? I was talking to a staff member (I can't remember who it was) and even they weren't sure how far things were allowed to go. If somebody could please clarify this for everyone, it'd be much appreciated! -Taylor
basically, as long as you're not being racist, derogatory, or otherwise insulting towards others; ANYTHING GOES. (I'm no official person here, but I'm just using common sense to come up with that)
Pretty much that. If you don't break Canadian/US law, then you should be mostly okay. The obvious things that are against the rules on the forums are still in place in /ch v, such as cracked software, warez, hacked client etc are not allowed to be discussed.
Um just for extra clarification.... the other night we were openly directing language at others saying stuff such as "f*** you so and so". This was while staff and SA was online and there was some confusion, but ultimately, it was deemed allowed. I am just confused because now we are saying it isn't again?
Thank you guys, that clears it up. One last question- if two users were just offending each other, but it wasn't breaking canadian/US law, would this be deemed ok? (I know this is similar to TH's question)
