Okay so lets start off i have a 50x50 pumpkin farm and this is the problem.... *Take note im standing directly in the middle First Corner....Woohoo Pumpkins are growing!! Second Corner...Dead no growth at all Third Corner....Dead no growth at all And finally Fourth Corner...Again dead Please, explain why this happened and how i should go about fixing this (I'd rather not move my farm) to another location...
At has been this way for hours. And something similar is happening in Michael's town Alcatraz with grass I believe.
Same to my pumpkin farm. Sometimes it grows fine, other times it will grow part of it, but won't grow the other parts that I'm looking at. Edit: Because I'm looking straight at it and it's not growing, it seems that the chunk is indeed loaded. Not sure what's causing it.
Its happening to us as well, we planted an entire melon floor more than 4 days ago, 90% of the stems are still green leafs in the dirt. Perhaps there's too many farms in the server lol.
Ive been having a similar problem lately. Pumpkins used to grow all around me when im afk, now they only grow on one side
I'm guessing that you need to be in the chunk, not have it loaded and seen. Since (as far as I know) it's impossible to know exactly where a chunk starts and ends, most farms are probably over several and pumpkins only grow in the one you are actually standing in. Then again, I could be totally wrong ... Amount of users online will stunt growth a lot, and same with a lot of farms active at once. :| Especially large ones. Only certain parts growing doesn't make any sense though.
Hmm, the only thought i came up with is to make a minecart track going in circles to keep all chunks/land growing. I would really like to see this investigated/fixed.
