I'm thinking again (uh-oh...) The exp shop says you need any tool/thing, doesn't that mean book/tool/armor/sword? And just get 9000 orbs to get ST on a sword, and then another one with unbreaking 3, and then another one with EffV? It's a lot of exp, but if you have a spawner that you can farm exp out of, what's stopping you from getting a Melon Sword through this method? Then again, I could be entirely wrong, so... ^.^
It's impossible on this server period. Andrew's made it so you can't add a st enchant onto swords, otherwise everyone would have them, there would be no value, and ultimately a crap ton of ridiculous amounts of money would be put into the economy all the time because literally everyone's got melon swords now.
I had actually thought of this when I first came back to the server (back in my day, melon swords could just be enchanted). I was so sad to find this out.
Well, I thought this because with the enchantment shop, you can put enchantments directly onto the tool/weapon/armor piece. But.. So... yeah.
According to the Minecraft Wiki, any enchanted sword is the fastest tool (known to Minecraft, ie, no silktouch on swords) to farm melons with.
This thread was made because he thought that you could buy a Melon Sword with exp in the enchanting sword. So I don't know why this comment was made.
