My OCD always requires me to manually repair as the current threshold is way too low. Although it is fine for the backup, I agree it would be awesome to see it at 25% or so.
+1 We absolutely need this. I agree with admiral and ocd kicking in - I have never once let my pick repair itself because it's just too scary What if it doesn't work? What if there's a glitch? The risk is just too great so I always repair it myself. I'm sure it's perfectly safe but I just don't have the nerve to try it.
This was tested quite extensively when it was implemented, and I believe that there is more than 1 threshold when a repair kicks in to act as a safety net. I haven't worried about repairing since I got the feature and have never lost a tool That includes the thousands of auto-repairs by using tree feller. If the feature successfully repairs tree fellers, pickaxes/melon swords are safe
It's not the fact that it 100% doesn't work, it's just common sense to see a tool under the red line and to repair it manually. I think it would make users feel safer If it was at 20-25%+
You are correct that there are two thresholds or that is how I understand it also. I would just prefer for the first one to be far and above the red bar. Not that anything has ever gone wrong here on the server and that tools are not lost Of course I would feel better if you would wave your magic wand and replace it if it fails - of course, we know that probably will not happen
I know it works as I have no problem using it for non-star tools but I just can't quite commit to using it with the star tools. Call it what you will, I just don't have the nerve.
The feature works appropriately currently. However I too get quite scared when waiting for my auto repairs to kick in lol... 20% or 50% please. +1
I don't even have extcomm++, but I already get nervous and use my macro-keybind for /repair all if my tool reaches less than 75% durability...so I feel with you. +3.14.
