The current SG map is too large for the average player count of 4-5 players. Let's replace it with a smaller arena for more fun, fast paced games. SG 2 was a great map and I wouldn't mind seeing that, or something else, brought in.
I'd personally like to see alternating maps but the maps we had before had 24 players as opposed to 20.
It’s much better than the current one, IMO and that of those I’ve played against today. I’m not against the idea of a new map, it just has to be smaller and more unique. This one feels like a very generic grid, too similar in all 4 quadrants.
What if we had the community vote on a poll to keep the new map or replace it with one of the old ones?
eh, polls are useful when trying to get a general idea of how the server feels about something, but not for making concrete decisions. Not all players will see the poll, which means not all opinions are collected, and could ultimately yield an undesirable outcome.
so suggest fixes? suggest a better map? does when people are bored of the old map it's really funny when people complain ecc is allergic to change then just ask changes to be reverted in favor of what we had, lol
I think, and probably @Conorx as well, that the current SG map is poor. Regardless of wether or not its bringing an old map back or putting a new map in, the crux of this suggestion is simply a different SG map. My personal specifications for the change are to have a smaller and more interesting map, not whether we've had it before.
https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/sg-the-new-map-and-things-to-fix.172524/ Way ahead of you. Unfortunately one of the multitude of thing suggested were added and it was marked as accepted. And for your second statement, it’s generally incorrect. I understand that as a general view of ECC, but it simply isn’t applicable to SG. We were happy with the maps, just wanted an incentive to play. We didn’t want a single map, and you can ask any of the active SG players about this and they’ll tell you the same. Competition = yes good! The removal of decent maps and introduction of one massive, symmetrical, beautiful build, (Its not really even an SG map) = no bad
Suggest a new map, with an actual build or link to one that is available for public use, after the current SG competition.
