Change back to old LWC Limits

I Completely agree. I understand how the server needs donations to stay up and stuff of that nature, but pretty much forcing people into buying is just a horrible method of doing it. I was planning on purchasing unlimited lwc's when i reached 500, as I'm now currently on 469/300 but now I guess I need to purchase it or i can't do anything with locks.

 

I was just about to post something like this. I have 116/50 locks, and I'm a comayor of a town! That's absurd, and I was about to make a casino, requiring locks. I just donated for water and multihome, and I don't have the money for another donation feature, because the next one on my list of wanting was tp. This is really absurd. I really don't understand the change. Even 10 for builders is crazy! I had about 12 double chests when i was a builder! Plus doors, trapdoors, dispensers, buttons, levers, pressure plates, and signs. So I used most of my locks. I really do not understand why this was needed. It was perfect as it was!

After I FINALLY get mayor, I would probably have about 4 locks left from what I'm planning to do.

Many people are quitting due to this. Although I am not affected much, the downgrade on the amount of locks you could place was a terrible idea. It was perfectly fine the way it was , and probably only changed so that people could get UnlimitedLwcs. It should be changed back.

 

46 LWC's over my limit. The only reason we lock all our signs is that we don't want random people locking them. If they lock it and refuse to unlock it, filing an LWC removal is a pain.

I disagree with increasing them. LWC are stored on a server in a cache the smaller the cache the less lag. Not only is this meaning there will be less lag for the server it will also prompt more donations for the server, which is only a plus. I am a president with 121 locks, If you have 200 chests locked try going through and selling some of the materials you probably don't need and make some good money whilst doing so.
I understand as a resident you have very few locks and I would advise people to buy mayor, this add even more advantages to buying new ranks.

Ok, so by decreasing LWCs, there will be less lag. Get that. More people will buy Unlimited LWCs, ok thats good, people are donating to the server. But then there's a lot of more LWC's completely doing nothing good. If lots of LWCs lag the server, then why make people want to get UNLIMITED LWCs?!

 

More donations mean better hardware and hosting, so less lag.

 

But, just because the server gets donations, doesn't mean that we can always get better hardware. Andrew has to pay for electric bills, internet bills, and service bills. Its not that cheap with Ventrilo, a Website, and a Minecraft Server, all 24/7.

 

this is not a big deal, you should never need more than 50 lwc's anyway, just combine items in chests (in other words you can't have a chest devoted solely to mushrooms or whatever anymore) how sad...

 

I was suggesting this change in LWC's will mean MORE donations will be done, so andrewkm will get extra money to spend on the server than he gets at the moment.

 

Is there a way to add lwcs to worldguard? I mean, that only those who have perms in the town may lock the item? I can check in a few hours, but this might make it so those in towns don't have to lock everything.

 

SWITCH IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ignore Mayors and Presidents.....They get a lot of LWCs I am in the Middle of Building a Store and now I have to stop because I don't have enough.......I don't want to save up vote money and have wait 80 day just to get mayor and then have to save up again to get president. To tell you the truth it is CRAZY to change it in the first place! Why would you. Everything was fin until this happens! SWITCH IT BACK! VOTE SWITCH IT BACK ABOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

This actually infuriates me. As an Ecoleader with 15 towns, and i had the maximum amount of LWCS available at the time. I was using 500/500 and that wasn't even enough to suffice for me. There is literally no way i can reduce that amount down to 300 without seriously risking things in my towns.

When the twitter post said it would "Mainly pertain to Builders/Residents", it was dead wrong. It effects Mayors+ more than Residents and Builders; Far more actually. For someone like myself who has been around for 2 years on this server, the expectation that we should only "need" 300 LWCs, in-fact using far less, is dead wrong and in my opinion outrageous.

If, like you suggest Mattybillo1, that LWCS "Cause Mass Lag", then UnlimitedLWC wouldn't be $15. It would be significantly higher to keep everyone from buying it with USD or Ecodollars for USD.

If we're going to decrease the general allocation of LWC rights, then at-least give Tycoons/Ecoleaders additional LWCs for their time spent on the server and their dedication towards it.

I'd atleast like an explanation as to why LWCS were dropped down.
