Hello ECC. I thought I'd share my experience from yesterday. Some may take it as a warning to take more care themselves. Others may find it entertaining and have a laugh at my expense. It's all good. Carelessness As I was surfing the wild I hit upon a Mesa biome. I was very exciting because I like building with clay. White clay makes for great interior walls. I like browns and light grays for exterior. I immediately noticed that I was not the first to find this place, as noted by the mountains' resemblance to swiss cheese. Even so, there was still hardened clay to be had! I started exploring for place to start and in my excitement I lost my footing. Or, more precisely, I fell into a 1x1 shaft inside a mesa and plummeted to my death. Stupidity I've been on ECC for about a week. Farming cocoa early on earned me a plot and I soon bought a pumpkin axe. Using income from farming with that fun and excellent tool, I began to enchant some tools in the EXP shop. So at the time of my death, I was carrying with me my pumpkin axe, my silk touch pick and my fortune pick, all UNB3, and the latter two EFF5. I got that stomach drop feeling and my mind reeled for a way to recover my gear. Since I use the Eco mini map module, I could see my coordinates at the bottom of the map. I have TP, but the first level of the TP upgrade does not support coordinate teleporting. I asked global chat for someone who could teleport me to some coordinates where I died and lost some tools. I got a quick PM from a kind soul who asked me for the coordinates. Now for the stupid. Instead of /r to reply back to only him, can you guess what I did. Yeah, I typed the coordinates into global chat. Tragedy Needless to say, by the time I was teleported there, everything was gone. It had only been about 2 minutes so I don't think my gear unspawned yet. Some enterprising soul probably saw my coordinate post to global and improved their daily margin. I blame only myself and my carelessness. Careless to fall into a shaft. Careless fumbling of the chat system. But that was that and I picked myself up and started back to working hard to earn enough for some new tools. 10K xp for pump axe, 19K xp for silk touch pick, 16K for fortune pick. By the end of the night I had remade the first 2 and I'm saving up now for the fortune pick. Tragedy is probably too strong a term but it felt like it in the moment. I was mad at myself for being so careless and stupid. Ok kids, that's the lesson for today. Take it from this old man... watch your step and learn how to use the chat system well enough that even when upset or panicked, you won't fumble at the critical moment. -dh

This is definitely the sort of thing that warrants a good chuckle, after a few weeks have gone by. Thanks for sharing - I know it gave me a good smirk
