Dear Mod or whomever, recently pre 1.6.4 update when I logged in I was having the same trouble I'm having now. I thought it was just an update thing so I waited for the update but it's still doing it. When I log into the server it allows me to log in but when I log in I'm just floating and nothing loads. I can't move and nothing is happening in the chat box. Nothing appears in chat as if no one's talking and when I say something and hit enter nothing appears. I need help. I haven't been able to be on ECC in like almost a month now and I have a town to take care of. Please help. Thanks, mastrchief93
So I completely erased and re installed minecraft, updated my java, and tried every other possibility. I can log into all of my other servers just not ECC and ECC is the only one I wanna play. Can anybody help?
This happens when your internet connection is extremely slow. Basically, whether through interference, bandwidth, or something different, you aren't able to keep a stable enough connection and the "extreme lag" you are witnessing is the only thing that will happen. The give away is that the chat stops/doesn't load. Whenever that happens, I know I have lagged out. What you describe is exactly what happened to me when I tried to connect from a cheap hotel room this weekend. The connection was so slow that I would connect and the world wouldn't load.
