Can't connect to the server.

    I keep getting this error when I connect

    Other people are telling me they are playing, is it simply an issue with connecting for all players, or is it just some players?

    I don't understand how minecraft handles server architect.

    If they logged in before the server went down, then they can play I am pretty sure.

    So if I have this right -
    Minecraft has -3- servers to play

    One log-in server to check if your username and password are correct
    One session server to check whether or not you have a legit copy of the game, are whitelisted, your game isn't broken, etc.
    Then a THIRD server to actually play on?
