"Sergent" is a rank but it's spelled "Sergeant", and there are different types of sergeant such as: Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Sergeant First Class, Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, Sergeant Major, Command Sergeant Major, Sergeant Major of the Army. "3rd in command" is Major General, "2nd in command" is lieutenant general, "1st in command" is General There is no such thing as "Major Awesome", or "Cap Master" or "Stealth Miner" Yes, Captain is a rank, but there's not exactly 3 in one place at the same time. If you must know actual military ranks, here is your answer.
