I found a horse hanging out in the wild in Rising, outside my town wall. I tamed him and named him, equipped him with saddle and armor and put him on a lead outside my house, in my town. The next day he was hanging around my house, but the lead was gone. Put him on a lead again. The second day, he was gone and nowhere to be found. RIP Circuit. My question is, could the butcher have gotten him? If not, could a non-resident steal him? I am sincerely hoping it was not a town resident. Thanks!
Butcher doesnt take named animals. He could have wandered off outside of your town and fell in that ravine and died, or someone of your town could have taken him. I looked all throughout your town and couldnt find Circuit.
Thanks for the info, I'm glad the butcher doesn't take named animals. And thanks for looking for Circuit! Very kind of you.
Unless the town has an interact:deny flag on /rg i, anyone can kill animals. I am not sure about breaking leads, but I know that they break when a chunk is unloaded and then loaded again, both in singleplayer and on ECC. Without an interact flag, everybody could ride the horse away - with it, one could still push it outside of the town borders.
Good info. I bet the lead broke due to chunk unloading that makes perfect sense. This is the first I've heard of /rg i and interact:deny. I'll definitely look into that more. Thanks.
